Works on Calea Giulești: Line 11 will turn back at Basarab Train Station, line 44 will be suspended. Shuttle line 644 will be established

On Saturday, 31.05.2025, line 11 will operate on a modified route, turning back at Basarab Train Station, and line 44 will be suspended due to intervention works on the tram tracks on Calea Giulești. To accommodate passengers on the section where trams will no longer run, shuttle bus line 644 will be in operation.

According to the provisions of the Intercommunity Development Association for Public Transport Bucharest – Ilfov (TPBI), line 11 will operate on a modified route from the intersection of Șoseaua Orhideelor / Calea Giulești along Șoseaua Orhideelor to “Gara Basarab,” as follows: Zețarilor, Prelungirea Ferentari, Calea Ferentari, Calea Rahovei, Progresului Street, Bd. Timișoara, Bd. General Paul Teodorescu, Bd. Doina Cornea, Șoseaua Orhideelor, “Gara Basarab,” and return.

The shuttle bus line 644 will operate between the terminals “Cartier Giulești” and “Vasile Pârvan” along the route: “Cartier Giulești,” Calea Giulești, Șoseaua Orhideelor, Bd. Dinicu Golescu, Berzei Street, Calea Plevnei, “Vasile Pârvan,” returning via Calea Plevnei, Sfântul Constantin Street, Ionel Perlea Street, Grigore Cobălcescu Street, Berzei Street, Bd. Dinicu Golescu, Șoseaua Orhideelor, Calea Giulești, “Cartier Giulești.”

The buses on line 644 will travel on the roadway along Calea Giulești and will stop at curbside bus stops. On Berzei Street, Calea Plevnei, Sfântul Constantin Street, Ionel Perlea Street, and Grigore Cobălcescu Street, the vehicles of line 644 will run on the tram tracks and will stop at the line 44 stops: “Radio Romania,” “Vasile Pârvan,” “Cişmigiu,” and “Ostașilor.”
