In today’s episode, we continue showcasing additional integrated features of the platform maps.mo-bi.ro.
If you’ve followed the previous episodes, you already know that the platform brings together, in one place, open-format data on:

  • public transport routes and schedules;

  • the metropolitan train project;

  • the surface transport route map;

  • bus depots and garages.

You can also find real-time traffic congestion information here, provided in collaboration with Waze and Google.

And that’s not all! Here’s what else you can explore:

Traffic Signals

All traffic lights in Bucharest and Ilfov are displayed in two dedicated layers: “Traffic Signals” and “Ilfov Traffic Signals.”

Metro Network

The interactive map includes:

  • all currently operational metro lines (e.g., M1, M2);

  • the line under construction (M6);

  • the line in the planning phase (M7).

Metro stations are shown on a separate layer, represented by icons with the letter “M.” Clicking on them reveals each station’s name and status: existing or proposed.

Street Directory

This section displays all streets in the capital, with detailed information such as: name, maximum speed limit, number of lanes, name origin, district, and the responsible administrative authority.

In conclusion, the platform maps.mo-bi.ro is a valuable, continuously updated source of open data for anyone interested in urban mobility in the Bucharest–Ilfov region — and beyond.
