The Intercommunity Development Association for Public Transport Bucharest – Ilfov (TPBI) continues its series of educational initiatives aimed at promoting public and alternative transport, in partnership with schools in Ilfov County, through the project “Green STOP! Today the car stays put.” This project is funded by the Environmental Fund Administration as part of a program focused on public education and awareness regarding environmental protection.

On May 20, students from “Cezar Nicolau” Technological High School in Brănești took part in an interactive session where TPBI representatives discussed the importance of sustainable urban mobility and the benefits of using public transportation.

The activities continued on May 22 at “Mihail Kogălniceanu” Theoretical High School in Snagov, where students engaged in an open dialogue about modern solutions for environmentally friendly transport and how they can contribute to creating a cleaner, safer city.

TPBI presented up-to-date information about the integrated public transport network in the Bucharest–Ilfov region, initiatives aimed at encouraging sustainable mobility, and examples of EU best practices in the transport sector.

To reinforce the messages shared during these events, a short video was created, using impactful visuals and messages to highlight the importance of choosing public and alternative transport over personal cars, and the resulting positive effects on the environment—such as reduced CO₂ emissions and improved air quality.

These efforts underline TPBI’s commitment to educating new generations in the spirit of sustainable mobility and environmental responsibility.

TPBI will continue to support local initiatives that contribute to a greener, healthier future for all residents of the Bucharest–Ilfov region.
