Today, June 17, 2025, during the UITP Global Public Transport Summit, the team from the Bucharest – Ilfov Public Transport Development Association (TPBI) had an official meeting with Mr. Mohamed Mezghani, Secretary General of UITP, Mr. Emmanuel Dommergues, Head of Organising Authorities – Knowledge and Innovation, and Ms. Georgiana Tuta, Membership Development Manager.
On this occasion, TPBI representatives expressed their appreciation for UITP’s efforts in promoting best practices globally in the field of urban mobility. The discussions focused on the importance of connecting similar public transport authorities, exchanging experiences and knowledge, and anticipating emerging trends and technologies in the field.
During the meeting, the current state of public transport in the Bucharest – Ilfov region was presented, including ongoing projects and those in the planning phase, as well as TPBI’s continuous efforts to involve citizens and collaborate with all relevant stakeholders in the region.
The interlocutors showed particular interest in TPBI’s initiatives, considering them to be a valuable example for other authorities in the field.
