TPBI: Line 40 – shortened to “Faur”; shuttle line 640 will take over passengers between “Faur” and “Piața Sf. Vineri”

Due to works on the tramway tracks at the intersection of Bd. Chișinău / Bd. Basarabia, starting on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, tram line 40 will operate between “Bd. Theodor Pallady” and “Faur”, while a newly established shuttle bus line 640 will operate on the segment between “Faur” and “Piața Sfânta Vineri”.

According to the instructions from the Intercommunity Development Association for Public Transport Bucharest – Ilfov (TPBI), during the works, trams on line 40 will follow this route: terminal “Bd. Theodor Pallady”, Bd. Theodor Pallady, Bd. 1 Decembrie 1918, “Faur”, and return.

To accommodate passengers, TPBI is introducing shuttle bus line 640, which will operate as follows: “Faur”, Bd. 1 Decembrie 1918, Bd. Basarabia, Calea Călărași, Bd. Corneliu Coposu, “Piața Sf. Vineri”, returning via Str. Sfânta Vineri, Bd. Mircea Vodă, Calea Călărași, Bd. Basarabia, Bd. 1 Decembrie 1918, “Faur”.
