Description:
The CIVITAS SUMPs-Up project supported European cities in the development of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs) by providing resources, guides, and tools for less-developed regions. Project activities included webinars, e-courses, international workshops, and a Pilot Innovation Group made up of experts from 90 cities, including 10 leading cities (Birmingham, Budapest, Malmö, Sofia, Turin).

Main outcomes:

  • A new edition of the EU SUMP Guide

  • An Inventory of Tools and a Self-Assessment Tool for SUMPs

  • Thematic guides on urban mobility

  • Cerema – A center for studies and expertise in risks, environment, mobility, and urban and rural planning
