TPBI offers the general public an interactive map, as an alternative to similar platforms, available on the website maps.mo-bi.ro, aiming to contribute to improving mobility in the Bucharest-Ilfov region.

In the previous video, we demonstrated how to plan a journey using public transport in the Bucharest-Ilfov area with the interactive map maps.mo-bi.ro, a project developed by TPBI using its own resources. This time, we continue with a presentation of the metropolitan train services.

The platform’s interface includes a button for various informational layers, located at the bottom left corner, where users can discover interesting details about transport infrastructure across several categories, such as depots, Park&Ride facilities, traffic lights, surface and underground public transport networks.

Returning to the topic of this video: few may know that future metropolitan train services are represented on this interactive map along with their stations. Currently, only the Bucharest North – Henri Coandă International Airport service is operational, a well-known line that quickly proved useful, being heavily used by both Romanian and foreign travelers. The second train service, planned to run between Bucharest North – Buftea – Scroviștea, is already in the process of obtaining all necessary approvals and documents for operation. Other services are also set to enter the documentation development phase.

The “Metropolitan Train Stations” layer on the map allows users to view approximately 50 new stations proposed as part of the Metropolitan Train project, as well as the existing stations already in operation and included in the project.

The goal of this map and the project overall is to provide passengers with predictable transport information in the Bucharest-Ilfov region and to develop sustainable mobility across all urban nodes.
