Green Stop! Today, the Car Stays Put. TPBI Promotes Sustainable Mobility Among Students

The Bucharest–Ilfov Intercommunity Development Association for Public Transport (TPBI), in partnership with the “Cezar Nicolau” Technological High School in Brănești and the “Mihail Kogălniceanu” Theoretical High School in Snagov, is implementing the project “Green Means Stop! Today, the Car Stays Put.”, financed by the Environmental Fund under the Public Education and Awareness Program for Environmental Protection.

The project aims to educate and raise students’ awareness about the use of public and alternative means of transport and their impact on the environment.

As part of the activities carried out, bicycle racks have been installed at both educational institutions to encourage the use of alternative modes of transportation.

The racks are intended solely for promoting sustainable mobility within the school environments.

As the project’s beneficiary, TPBI demonstrates its strong commitment to promoting sustainable mobility, actively contributing to the implementation of efficient and environmentally friendly solutions tailored to the needs of communities in the Bucharest–Ilfov region.

Starting next week, the TPBI project team will conduct educational sessions for students, focusing on the following key topics:

  • Promoting public and alternative transport as sustainable, environmentally friendly solutions;

  • Informing students about reducing air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions through the use of such means of transport;

  • Raising awareness about citizens’ rights and responsibilities in using public transport and protecting the environment.

The project aims to encourage environmentally responsible behavior, develop young people’s civic spirit, support the transition to an active lifestyle, and promote the use of public transport.

We will keep you updated with information on ongoing activities and the results achieved throughout the project!
